Did you know? The cost of concrete removal was saved in the rehabilitation of the tops of lock walls at Dashields Locks, U.S. Army Engineer District, Pittsburgh, by placement of an unbounded concrete overlay without removal of the deteriorated concrete.
Most repair projects involve removal of distressed or deteriorated concrete. This course discusses removal of concrete, preparation of concrete surfaces for further work such as overlays, preparation and replacement of reinforcing steel that has been exposed during concrete removal, and anchorage systems.
