Course Synopsis:
Did you know? Roadway typical sections are developed for each different roadway type within the project limits. During the Concept Development Phase, the actual typical section widths, slopes, and other controls to be used will be determined as guided by the current American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Roadside Design Guide and Georgia Department of Transportation Design Policy Standards.
This course provides information and guidance for developing single and multi lane roadways. This course includes information regarding slopes, barriers, sidewalks, crowns, medians, parking lanes, bicycle lanes, and curbs. It is based on Georgia DOT Design Policy Manual version 2.0, revised 5/21/2002.
